Vinicius Junior to be offered a new 5-year contract worth £50 million after a stellar season with Real Madrid

Vinicius Junior-Real Madrid

Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior is set to be offered a new contract this summer as a reward for his fine form the season according to reports.

The Brazilian who scored the only goal for Real Madrid as they beat Liverpool to win their 14th UEFA Champions League title last Saturday has been one of the star performers of Madrid this season.

Having been on the periphery last season, Vinicius was more decisive for the Spanish side this season, as he scored 22 goals and provided 20 assists to help Carlo Ancelotti’s side pick up two major trophies.

He had previously not managed to score more than six goals in a single season for Los Blancos.

As a result, according to Sportsmail, Madrid are reportedly looking to confirm his Galactico status with a contract worth close to £50million.

The 21-year-old’s current deal expires in 2024, although there is an option for 12 months. However, the Spanish club now wants a new long-term extension in the form of a five-year deal worth £170,000 per week.

Vinicius joined the Spanish La Liga giants as an 18-year-old, and after struggling in his first two seasons, looks to have now earned himself a deal that highlights his importance at the Bernabeu moving forward.
