The PSG ace has shared his thoughts on Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.

PSG ace Kylian Mbappe has offered his thoughts on Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, stating that the Norwegian is not on par with him.

Mbappe and Haaland are cited as the best forwards of their generation and could ascend the throne of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

However, the French World Cup winner feels that it is too early to predict Haaland’s success.

Mbappe said: “It is his second year, we are getting to know him. It is the beginning for him. I’m happy for him, for what he’s doing.

The 22-year-old also patted himself on the back after adding that he can play anywhere in the attack.

Mbappe added: “I have played up front, I have played on the left and on the right,” he continued. “In all humility, I don’t think everyone is capable of changing positions like this every year and maintaining a great performance at the highest level.

“That did not fall from the sky. If I talk about the baggage that they gave me in adolescence, it’s all there.”

Mbappe might be right as he has achieved more success at such a young age including the prestigious World Cup in 2018.

However, his comments will take nothing from Haaland either as the Dortmund ace is one of the most coveted strikers in the world at the moment.

The 20-year-old bagged a total of 41 goals and 12 in all competitions last season and he is already off to a flyer this term, racking up 2 goals and 3 assists in 2 Bundesliga games.

Haaland has been linked with a host of European giants, who could try to sign him next summer. Elsewhere, Real Madrid are keen on signing Mbappe from the French Ligue 1 club.
