Raphinha’s displays with the Brazilian national team have impressed his compatriot Neymar.

PSG have joined the race for Leeds United winger Raphinha, who is also watched by Premier League giants Liverpool.

According to Daily MailNeymar has requested PSG to sign Raphinha after getting impressed with his recent displays for the Brazilian national team.

Leeds have endured a struggling start to the new season but Raphinha continues to shine after netting 3 goals in 8 Premier League games.

Last season, the 25-year-old was a revelation for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, racking up 8 goals and 9 assists in the league.

Raphinha’s stellar form had earned him his maiden call-up to Brazil national team earlier this month and he also made an immediate impact straightaway.

After providing two assists in his debut against Venezuela in the World Cup qualifiers, Raphinha followed up with an even more brilliant display against Uruguay, scoring two goals in the 4-1 win.

Raphinha’s agent Deco, also a former Barcelona and Portugal legend, has confirmed the interest from Liverpool but Leeds want to keep him for another season.

Deco said: “There are certainly many clubs interested in him. Liverpool do like him and there were some approaches, but nothing official. Leeds wanted to keep him for another season.

Raphinha is happy at Leeds, but there will certainly come a time when he wants to take a step up in his career and move forward. He has three years left on his contract, but there’s nothing in it that states how long he must stay for or that prevents transfers.”

Former Brazilian star Rivaldo also recently advised Raphihna to seek a move to Liverpool in order to progress his career.
