Nice complete free signing of Aaron Ramsey from Juventus

Manchester United could be destination for Juve's Aaron Ramsey

Aaron Ramsey has joined French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice on a free transfer from Juventus.

The former Arsenal man was released from the last year of his contract at Juventus last week after spending the last six months of last season on loan at Rangers

Ramsey joined Juve in 2019 on a free transfer but could not replicate the form that made him one of the best players at the Emirates. In three years at Juventus, he made just 69 appearances, scoring six goals, but only five of those games came in the 2021/22 season.

The Welshman joins a Nice side looking to improve on their finish of fifth in Ligue 1 last season, qualifying for the Europa Conference League play-off round.

With the World Cup around the corner, his move to the French side will offer him regular football. The 29-year-old remains an integral part of the Welsh national team and will hope he can get back to fitness ahead of the winter tournament.

Meanwhile, Ramsey is not the only Welsh player on the move this summer. His national team compatriot Joe Rodon also left Tottenham to complete a loan to Rennes, with the option to make it a permanent deal.

Gareth Bale is also another Welsh star that has moved club this summer, with the former Real Madrid man already at MLS outfit LAFC.
