Reims

After Playing three games without a win in September, Reims opened their October account with a 2-2 draw against Troyes

A Jackson Porozo late strike denied Oscar Garcia’s side all three points after Folarin Balogun and Junya Ito had given Reims the lead either side of Wilson Odobert’s goal.

The hosts come into this game sitting in 17th place on the table, with just seven points after nine rounds of football. Oscar Garcia’s side have been overly poor at the back with one of the worst defensive records in the division. The former Celta Vigo coach will now take his team to the capital to take on a free-scoring PSG side and unless he finds a way to plug his leaky defence, Reims may be in for an embarrassing defeat.

With five straight defeats to the Parisians and defeats to title hopefuls Marseille and Monaco, the omens do not bode well for Reims, who look set up for relegation a battle.

Possible Reims starting line-up

Yehvann Diouf; Andrew Gravillon, Emmanuel Agbadou, Yunis Abdelhamid; Alexis Flips, Jens Cajuste, Azor Matusiwa, Mitchell van Bergen, Bradley Locko; Noah Jean Holm, Folarin Balogun.

Injured: Thomas Foket

Doubtful: None

Suspended: Junya Ito

PSG

After failing to win for the first time in the UEFA Champions League this season, PSG now turn their attention to a domestic clash with Reims in Ligue 1 as they continue their title defence.

Christophe Galtier’s side were held to a 1-1 draw against Benfica on Wednesday, with Lionel Messi’s opening goal for PSG cancelled out by an own goal by Danilo.

Overall, the Parisians are yet to taste defeat this season and their draw against Benfica took their unbeaten run of games to 12 in all competitions.

They sit top of the Ligue 1 table with 25 points after nine rounds of football and apart from the draw against Monaco, the capital-based club side are two points ahead of second-placed Marseille.

With a devastating front three firing on all cylinders, head coach Galtier will be expecting nothing short of yet another dominant display from his side as they continue a title defence which has been nothing short of impeccable so far.

PSG have been utterly dominant against Reims, with their previous five encounters yielding five wins for the Parisians.

Possible Paris Saint-Germain starting line-up

Gianluigi Donnarumma; Nordi Mukiele, Sergio Ramos, Marquinhos; Achraf Hakimi, Vitinha, Marco Verratti, Nuno Mendes; Lionel Messi; Kylian Mbappe, Neymar.
