City are keen on signing the highly-rated Aston Villa star Jack Grealish.
Grealish has been heavily linked with a move to Etihad and earlier reports stated that City are willing to break the banks for his transfer.
Although Villans want to keep their skipper as they look to push for the top-four race next season, a sumptuous fee from Citizens could change their mind.
Grealish recently starred for England in the Euro 2020 as they ended up as eventual runners-up. The 24-year-old, despite not being a regular starter, poured his influence to Gareth Southgate’s side whenever he got the chance while receiving cheers from fans upon his entry onto the pitch.
The Villans playmaker has become one of the best players in the Premier League over the last two seasons and his value has skyrocketed henceforth.
Pep Guardiola wants to work with Grealish whom he once described as his favourite player in the English top-flight.
The Three Lions star excels as a wide playmaker, a central midfielder and a trequartista and Guardiola would be more than happy to have him on board.
City already have a world-class playmaker in Kevin de Bruyne and adding Grealish would make them a dangerous unit.
Guardiola’s side are also heavily interested in Grealish’s Three Lions teammate Harry Kane, who wants to leave Tottenham Hotspur.
They are expected to go all out for the English striker despite his expensive price tag.
