Maitland-Niles wants out
Arsenal defender Ainsley Maitland-Niles is determined to leave the club at the end of this season.
The 23-year-old was loaned out for West Brom earlier in the season and he wants to play regularly at this stage of his career.
It is evident that Arsenal will not be able to provide him with the platform he needs right now and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
The versatile 23 year old can operate as a winger as well as a full back and he has the talent to develop into a quality Premier League player.
Wolverhampton Wanderers tried to sign the player for a fee of around £20 million last summer and it will be interesting to see whether the Molineux outfit are willing to reignite their interest in the Arsenal player this summer.
Cedric a much better bet for Arsenal than Bellerin
Meanwhile statistics have revealed who the best right-back at Arsenal is.
Cedric Soares has been competing for the starting berth this season with Hector Bellerin but statistics show that the Gunners perform much better with Cedric at the back as compared to the Spaniard.
Cedric has played 13 matches in the right-back position this season and Bellerin has played 28 games in the same role.
However, Arsenal have won 77% of the matches Cedric has started as compared to only 43% when Bellerin starts.
Furthermore, the Gunners have scored 31 goals and conceded just 12 with Cedric starting as compared to 25 goals scored and 29 goals conceded with Bellerin in the side.
It will be interesting to see if Arteta decides to give Soares a consistent run of starts in the Arsenal side between now and the end of the season.
Bellerin has already been linked with a move away from the London club in recent months and it will be interesting to see if the Spaniard decides to move on in the summer.
