The Blues are ready to reunite with the Belgian winger, who left Stamford Bridge for Madrid in 2019.

Chelsea are ready to reunite with Eden Hazard, as they have opened talks to sign him from Real Madrid, according to the Daily Mail.

Hazard left Stamford Bridge for his dream club Real Madrid in 2019 in a record deal. However, things have gone south for the Belgian ace after experiencing the biggest dip in his career yet.

The 30-year-old looked a shadow of his former self as he struggled for consistency due to a string of injury problems.

Hazard was linked with a move away from Santiago Bernabeu in the summer transfer window but new manager Carlo Ancelotti decided to keep him.

With Los Blancos keen on Kylian Mbappe’s signing next summer, they are ready to part ways with Hazard.

The Blues are now plotting a sensational return for the Belgian international, as the club owner Roman Abramovich believes he can bring a lot to the side as he did in his first spell.

However, the Londoners are only willing to pay only around 40m euros for his signing – one-third of the amount they received for his transfer to Madrid.

Thomas Tuchel’s side currently boasts a fearsome attacking unit with the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi. A player of Hazard’s calibre would certainly bring a lot of flair to the attack.

Furthermore, Hazard can reunite with his compatriot Romelu Lukaku, whom the Blues broke the banks for in the summer transfer window.
