Antero Henrique played a big role behind PSG signing Kylian Mbappe.

Newcastle United are planning a major overhaul after undergoing a £305m takeover.

The new owners of Magpies are reportedly on the lookout for a new manager, as they are expected to fire Steve Bruce sooner. Antonio Conte, Lucien Favre and Frank Lampard are the reported targets for Newcastle United.

Besides, Newcastle also wants a top-class sporting director to run the things, with the Daily Star reporting that ex-PSG chief Antero Henrique has emerged as a top target.

Henrique has been without a job since leaving Paris-Saint Germain in 2019. He engineered the record-breaking deal of Kylian Mbappe from Monaco to Les Parisiens.

During his time at Porto, the Portuguese chief helped the club sign Radamel Falcao, Pepe, and James Rodriguez.

The 53-year-old was also linked with a move to Manchester United during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first season in charge.

Henrique’s repertoire shows that he is the perfect man for the Magpies, who currently have deeper pockets than Europe’s top clubs. He has shown that he can lure top-quality players during his previous spells at PSG and Porto, and he can replicate a similar thing at St James’ Park.

Since the takeover, the Magpies have been linked with players like Philippe Coutinho and Mauro Icardi, with the latter being wanted by PSG as well.

It has also been added that Newcastle are keeping tabs on several Manchester United stars, including Jesse Lingard, Donny van de Beek and Anthony Martial.
