Chelsea planning for a future without Frank Lampard

Frank Lampard

Chelsea are reportedly looking at alternatives for Frank Lampard.

The former England international has failed to live up to the expectations so far and the Blues are struggling under his management right now.

Chelsea invested a lot of money on new players in the summer and they were expected to challenge for the Premier League title.

Frank Lampard’s new signings are yet to adapt to the Premier League and they have not made the desired impact so far.

The likes of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz have been quite underwhelming and Frank Lampard has failed to get the best out of them.

Chelsea are currently 8th in the Premier League with 26 points after 17 matches. They have also failed to win four of their last five League matches and Frank Lampard is under tremendous pressure to turn it around.

Chelsea lost 3-1 to Manchester City last night and it will be interesting to see if they can bounce back strongly in their upcoming matches.

If the results do not improve drastically, it is quite likely that Frank Lampard will be shown the door at Stamford Bridge soon.

The likes of Thomas Tuchel and Max Allegri are without a job right now and they could be potential alternatives to Frank Lampard.

Tuchel is excellent at grooming attacking players and he might be able to get the best out of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz.

Also, they are much more proven and established as tacticians as compared to Lampard.
