Erik Ten Hag the new Manager of Manchester United, is said to be a big fan of Ajax defender Jurrien Timber. Ten Hag is a former manager of Ajax and helped them lift the Eredivisie title on three occasions. So he would be the best person to judge Timber transfer, if he is considered this summer.
Since the start of 2020, Timber has been a key player for Ajax.
The defender has also made his debut for the Netherlands last year. He is capable of playing right-back and centre-back. Hence with this capability, he will undoubtedly contribute to Man UTD.
According to Football 365, He has two years left on his contract, and he is believed to be valued at around £43m. Ten Hag ‘wants to make the defender one of his first signings. Will Premier League be able to witness Jurrien Timber?
Meanwhile, Ten Hag is also ‘monitoring’ Villarreal centre-back Pau Torres with a value of £51m.
Somewhere else, Christopher Nkunku is being rumoured to a move to the Premier League. However, The RB Leipzig forward said that Paris is his “home”.
Nkunku is attracting rich clubs such as Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, PSG, and Real Madrid. Any of the big clubs will surely lead him to Premiere League.
As per Transfermarkt, he is valued at £58.5m and is out of contract in 2024. In some reports, he quoted about this future, saying that his “heart club” is his boyhood team, Paris Saint-Germain.
“Paris, I’ve always said it. It’s my home, my heart club,” said Nkunku (quotes via Manchester Evening News). “I don’t close any doors. Everything is possible in football.
“It’s flattering to have the biggest clubs in the world interested in me. But it’s also flattering that Leipzig is doing everything to keep me. We are in June, and I am focused on this gathering [with the French national team].”
