The Italian journalist has provided a huge update on Kane’s transfer saga.

Tottenham striker Harry Kane’s transfer saga is witnessing more twists and turns with each passing day and it will be intriguing to see whether he would complete his move to suitors Manchester City before the transfer window closes

The English striker caused an uproar last week after missing the training sessions, which he later denied was not done to force out a move from the club.

The 28-year-old is keen on joining Man City, who are said to be willing to meet his whopping £150m valuation.

However, Spurs are adamant not to sell their prized asset this summer, thus making things difficult for the Premier League Champions.

There appeared to be a twist in the tale when reports emerged that Kane had reversed his decision to stay at North London and could pen a new deal.

Now, famed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has stated the reports regarding Spurs’ talks with Kane over a new contract are completely false.

Romano also stated that although Spurs are willing to offer the English striker a new contract, that is not being discussed now.

Man City have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Kane after Romano’s statement but they are against the time to make the deal happen.

Pep Guardiola has recently stated that City are interested in Kane but Tottenham’s reluctance to negotiate could end their pursuit.

City will take on Spurs this Sunday in matchday 1 of the Premier League, and the latter’s manager Nuno Santo has stated that Kane is available for selection.
