Man City closing in on Brazilian sensation dubbed “next Neymar”

Manchester City are reportedly on the verge of striking a deal with Brazilian teenager Kayky, who has been dubbed the next Neymar.

The 17-year-old has drawn the comparison due to his flamboyant playing style, which has seen him impress at Fluminense this season.

City have seemingly beaten many top clubs for Kayky’s signature and are also said to be closing on a deal worth £8.7m plus add-ons around £14m.

The deal could see him arrive at Etihad next summer.

Danny Ings likely to stay at Southampton.

Manchester City are said to be keeping tabs on Southampton striker Danny Ings, who has been seen as a cheaper alternative to summer targets Erling Haaland and Romelu Lukaku.

However, amid the speculations, the Saints manager Ralph Hasenhuttl expects the English striker to remain at St. Mary’s Stadium this summer.

He has one more year (on his) contract. This will be an interesting situation for him, if one of the big clubs wants him. It is always difficult for us to keep a player with us, this is normal, but I do not see this scenario in the summer if I am honest.”

Sterling speaks about his rough patch

Raheem Sterling has reached new lows this season, netting only 13 goals – his lowest tally since his first season under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola.

Furthermore, the English winger has been going through a purple patch since February, not finding the nets, which saw him lose his place in the starting eleven.

But Sterling remains confident of ending the drought sooner.

“Don’t get me wrong, this season for me personally has been a very weird one, “

“Nevertheless, I’ve still enjoyed my football and given my all to the team. Don’t get me wrong, if I don’t score or do something to help the team I’m not happy coming off the pitch. I’m happy we’ve won but what helps me to get these goals is being that driven.

“It’s a perfect time in the season now. [Against Dortmund] I was itching to come on. I didn’t come on but I’m waiting for the opportunity to make a mark.”
