Sterling could be sold for £75 million
Raheem Sterling has been linked with a move away from Manchester City at the end of this season, and it seems that Real Madrid are keen on signing the 26-year-old.
The winger has fallen down the pecking order this season, and Manchester City are willing to cash in on him if an offer of around £75 million is presented.
Apparently, the Premier League side is looking at Jack Grealish as a potential replacement.
Sterling has two years left on his current contract, and there have been no talks regarding a contract extension.
It will be interesting to see if the Premier League winger decides to move on at the end of this season.
Ferdinand hails Phil Foden
Meanwhile, Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has heaped praise on Phil Foden after his remarkable display against Paris Saint-Germain earlier tonight.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder was outstanding as he helped Manchester City book their place in the finals of the Champions League.
Ferdinand believes that Foden is the best young player in the world on current form.
“He showed tonight that he can produce on this level and be consistent in terms of his end product. That’s why he’s playing in this team, and that’s why, at the moment, I would say Phil Foden is the best young player on form in the world right now,” Ferdinand told.
“On form, I think he is. Whether he’s the best player outright… [Kylian] Mbappe didn’t play today, and [Erling] Haaland is yet to play at this level. I’m not saying Foden is the best player; I’m just saying in terms of the moment right now, he’s the most in-form.”
Man City keen on Otieno
Meanwhile, reported Manchester City target Erick Otieno could be on the move this summer.
The highly talented defender put on a remarkable performance against Egypt during the March international break, and his display against Mohamed Salah seems to have caught the attention of the top clubs.
According to the player’s agent, Otieno’s club will not stand in his way if a reasonable offer comes in this summer.
Apparently, Leicester City are keeping tabs on the player as well.
