Manchester City are reportedly prepared to make one final offer to Tottenham for the signing of Harry Kane.

The Premier League Champions are insistent on bringing Kane to the Etihad this summer and are ready to table another offer to sign the England captain before the transfer window closes next week.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has remained determined to keep the striker at the club and has made it clear to City that their star player is not for sale this season. But according to , Man City are ready to test his resolve with one last mega-bid. Pep Guardiola‘s side already offered Levy around £118million, but they were turned down. They are now returning for an improved offer with less than six days left to conclude the deal.

The transfer window closes in the UK on the 31st of August, and the Cityzens are desperate to bring Kane to Manchester. They are banking on his desire to leave the North London side this season to force Levy into doing business with them before the window closes.

The 28-year-old striker made his intentions of leaving clear to Tottenham and has featured just once after reporting late for the season. Any deal for the striker will surpass the £100million Man City paid for Jack Grealish.

Despite the financial implications, Guardiola is keen on finding a proper replacement for former City legend Kun Aguero. He has the support of the City board, who are not afraid of backing him in the transfer market.

Last June, the club’s chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak insisted that they would be ‘competitive and aggressive’ in the market despite boasting the most expensive squad in Premier League history.
