Swap deal for Harry Kane
Manchester United are desperate to improve their attacking options in the summer and they are prepared to try their luck for the Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane.
According to a report from ESPN, the Red Devils will explore the possibility of offering Anthony Martial in a makeweight deal to sign the England international striker.
Kane has been heavily linked with a move away from Spurs in recent months and Manchester City tried to sign him last summer.
It is fair to assume that Manchester United will not be the only club looking to sign Harry Kane at the end of this season and it remains to be seen whether the Old Trafford outfit can fend off the competition for the 28-year-old.
Edinson Cavani is expected to leave the club in the summer and the likes of Marcus Rashford have been quite disappointing this season.
Manchester United will have to invest in a top-class striker in order to challenge the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool for the title next season.
Kane is certainly one of the best players in the world and he could improve Manchester United immensely in the final third.
Elsewhere, Martial has been a disappointment at Manchester United so far and he was loaned out to Sevilla during the January transfer window.
It is fair to assume that the Frenchman does not have a long term future at Old Trafford and using him in a deal to sign Harry Kane could be a wise decision.
However, swap deals are often difficult to execute and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham and Manchester United can agree on the terms of the transfer this summer.
Darwin Nunez on Red Devils’ radar
The Red Devils are also keeping tabs on the Benfica striker Darwin Nunez.
The 22-year-old has been in red hot form this season and he has scored 26 goals in 33 appearances for the Portuguese outfit.
Nunez is expected to develop into a world-class forward in the future but he will only join a club playing in the Champions League.
It remains to be seen whether Manchester United can finish in the top four and secure Champions League qualification for the next season.
The striker is valued at around £60 million and Manchester United certainly have the financial resources to pull off the move.
