Ronaldo close to sealing Manchester City transfer, asks Juventus to sell him

Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo stuck in Maderia

The Portuguese ace has reportedly told Juventus to sell him immediately.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s time at Juventus is nearing its end as journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the Portuguese ace wants to be sold immediately.

While it was believed that 36-year-old could stay put at Allianz Stadium at least for one more season, his exit links surfaced out of nowhere.

Firstly, it was during Juve’s season opener against Parma when Ronaldo didn’t make it to the starting line-up. Reports stated that the Portuguese ace had requested to be benched to sort out his future.

Recent reports state that the former Real Madrid star has told the Old Lady that he wants to leave sooner and wouldn’t participate in the next Serie A game against Empoli.

Romano also reports that Ronaldo has informed his Juve teammates that he wouldn’t continue at the club this season.

Manchester City close to reaching a deal for Ronaldo

Manchester City have emerged as surprise suitors ever since Ronaldo’s exit links started to circulate.

The Portuguese star’s agent Jorge Mendes had held talks with Premier League champions over a potential move, but they weren’t entertained at the time due to their interest in Harry Kane.

After Kane confirmed that he would be staying at Tottenham Hotspur this season, City are exploring the option of signing Ronaldo.

The former Manchester United star had reportedly agreed on personal terms, and Man City are close to reaching an agreement with Juve over his transfer. The Old Lady are expecting a fee of 25m pounds for Ronaldo’s transfer.

Sky Blues manager Pep Guardiola is also said to have held phone calls with Ronaldo to discuss a potential move to the Etihad.

While it looks only a matter of time for Ronaldo to seal a surprise transfer to City, it will be interesting to see how he will fare in his second spell in the Premier League.
