Real Madrid quartet Odriozola, Militao, Jovic and Odegaard losing their place under Zidane

Arsenal are interested in signing Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic

The four players are currently down the pecking order of Zidane.

Real Madrid stars Luka Jovic, Eder Militao, Martin Odegaard and Alvaro Odriozola look to have lost their place with the first team under Zinedine Zidane.

Although Zidane could opt to rotate players, with a handful of games approaching, these quartet of players are less likely to have an impact for the Los Blancos.

Militao was acquired in the summer of 2019 and initially tipped to succeed the likes of Varane and Ramos in future, but nothing has gone in the Brazilian’s way so far.

Odriozola spent the final half of the last season on loan at Bayern Munich – that too at fringes – and he was sent back to Bernabeu in the summer. The Spanish right-back is currently behind his compatriot Dani Carvajal in the pecking order.

Things have gone south for Luka Jovic, one of the highly anticipated signings in the summer of 2019, as the Serbian striker failed to nail down a starting spot in the first team. In the meantime, Karim Benzema made himself untouchable due to an excellent run of form. Madrid are also open to selling Jovic now, with many top clubs being interested in him.

Odegaard was called back to Bernabeu at the behest of Zidane following his stellar loan spell at Real Sociedad. While many thought Blancos have found an indispensable starter in the midfield in Odegaard, he has struggled so far this season.
