The Portuguese striker has scored two goals on his return.

Juventus have beaten Spezia 4-1 in Serie A away fixture, thanks to a quick brace in the second half from Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Bianconeri opened the account in the 14th minute as Alvaro Morata netted an easy finish after being picked out by Weston McKennie. The Spaniard was luckily onside this time.

However, the home side pulled one back, much to the dismay of Andrea Pirlo, when Pobega’s shot took a deflection before beating Gianluigi Buffon to the nets.

Pirlo pointed to Cristiano Ronaldo in the bench in desperate need of a breakthrough. The Portuguese, in turn, didn’t disappoint as he came off the bench to make an immediate impact.

After being picked out by Morata, Ronaldo beat the goalkeeper one on one before sending the ball to nets.

Juventus found their third after Adrien Rabiot made an impressive run in the box before finding the nets.

Federico Chiesa was soon fouled in the box and a penalty was awarded for Juventus in return. Ronaldo stepped up to the spot to complete his double with a panenka penalty.

Ronaldo’s return is the least thing Pirlo could have hoped for after a series of worrying results for the defending Serie A champions. The win also marked Juve’s third in Serie A this season, having drawn three already. Today’s brace has put Ronaldo back in the scoring charts as he is currently third in the list with 5 goals.
