Man United lower Pogba’s price tag to £53m amid interest from Real Madrid

Reports suggest United are poised to sell under-fire midfielder next summer.

Manchester United are looking to sell midfielder Paul Pogba, with Real Madrid still interested in recruiting him.

According to reports, United have reduced Pogba’s value to £53m with a view to selling him next summer although he is contracted until 2022.

It hasn’t been an ideal start for the French midfielder to this season as he was left out of United’s starting line-up in the games against Newcastle United and Chelsea. Furthermore, Pogba has come under fire owing to his lack of form, with him registering neither a goal nor an assist after six games in the Premier League.

Although Man Utd are equally struggling at the moment, there is no denying that the French World Cup winner hasn’t been at his best since the 2018/19 season.

Madrid have always been credited with an interest in Pogba, with the midfielder himself recently expressing his desire to play for the Los Blancos.

The Spanish club are also understood to be working on the deal of Pogba’s compatriot Kylian Mbappe, who has reportedly told PSG of his unwillingness to extend his contract.

Juventus have also been linked with Pogba as their sporting Fabio Paratici recently expressed the club’s love for their former star.

Paratici said,

“Paul Pogba as our target? In this moment he’s a Man Utd player, it’s difficult to think about transfers.”

“We love Pogba, he’s a fantastic player but it’s too early to talk about our targets for the future”.
