Inter 4-3 Fiorentina Inter plunge two goals in closing moments to secure win

Inter thrash relegation-threatened Crotone to continue their fine form in Serie A.

Inter have continued their impressive form in Serie A following the 6-2 thumping win against Crotone at San Siro.

The visitors took an early lead through Zanellato’s strike before it was cancelled by Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, assisted by Romelu Lukaku.

Marrone’s own goal put Inter ahead but it was only short-lived as Golemic put Crotone on level terms from the penalty spot.

The second half completely belonged to Inter as Martinez scored his second of the game in the 57th minute before Lukaku found the nets minutes later.

Martinez went on to complete his hat-trick, his first with Nerazzurri shirt and Achraf Hakimi put the game to bed by scoring the sixth goal of Inter.

The win has now taken Inter to the top of Serie A table for the time being and they will be hoping for local rivals AC Milan to drop points against Benevento.

Inter manager Antonio Conte on the victory: There was a good response today and I felt we started the right way by being aggressive. Crotone pushed seven players up and surprised us on the corner.”

“We did well to turn it around, then a naïve error on the penalty could’ve sparked anxiety, but the lads instead did really well to stay focused, keep creating scoring opportunities and bring home another victory.”

The win also means that Inter have gone undefeated in the last eight league games.
