Atletico Madrid

After beating Osasuna 1-0 in their weekend La Liga match, Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid will turn their attention to the Champions League group where they are in danger of elimination.

The Spanish giants are sitting third in Group B with four points after winning just one of their opening four games (D1, L2). Although they are just one point behind Porto, who are in second, they need a win to ensure that they are not eliminated from this stage of the competition.

Simeone’s side come into this tie with a bad defensive record as they have kept just two clean sheets in their last seven games. In those seven games, they conceded two or more goals in five games.

They will be desperate to keep their defence tight and go home with all three points.

Possible Atletico Madrid starting line-ups

Jan Oblak, Stefan Savic, Jose Maria Gimenez, Mario Hermoso, Sime Vrsaljko, Koke, Rodrigo De Paul, Yannick Carrasco, Thomas Lemar, Matheus Cunha, Luis Suarez.

Injured: Kieran Trippier, Joao Felix

Doubtful: None

Suspended: Antoine Griezmann, Felipe

AC Milan

Serie A title contenders AC Milan will turn their attention to the Champions League where they look to pick up their first win.

The Rossoneri were beaten 4-3 over the weekend by Fiorentina to extend their winless run to three games (2, L1).

The loss was their first loss in the league this season, but they come into this Champions League group game with three losses in four UCL games (D1).

The visitors also come into game week five, sitting bottom of the table with one point to their name. They must win this game to keep their UCL aspirations alive, although that can be ended if Porto gets a good result at Anfield.

Although Stefano Pioli’s side do not have their UCL in their own hands, they will look to at least make it to the Europa League by winning this game.

However, their task is made more complex when considering their poor record, which has seen them go winless in seven UCL matches (D2, L5). Across those seven failures to win, three of the last five saw them concede first inside the opening ten minutes.

They are in for a long day at the Spanish capital.

Possible AC Milan starting line-ups

Ciprian Tatarusanu, Alessandro Florenzi, Simon Kjaer, Alessio Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez, Franck Kessie, Ismael Bennacer, Alexis Saelemaekers, Rade Krunic, Rafael Leao, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Injured: Mike Maignan, Ante Rebic, Davide Calabria

Doubtful: Samu Castillejo, Fikayo Tomori

Suspended: None
