Juventus transfer: Dybala contract talks on hold, Depay backed to shine, Dortmund reject an offer for Szczesny

Despite Ronaldo heroics, Controversial Penalties sent Juventus packing

Dybala contract talks on hold

Paulo Dybala has decided to stall the contract talks until the end of this season as he wants to help Juventus secure the Champions League qualification.

The Argentine is yet to agree to an extension, with his contract expiring in the summer of 2022.

It was reported earlier Dybala had declined an offer worth €10m per season as he expects a higher salary from the Bianconeri.

Perhaps, the 27-year-old’s form has taken a significant hit this season, failing to be a regular under Andrea Pirlo.

There is optimism that Dybala could extend his stay at Allianz Stadium if Max Allegri is appointed as the successor to under-fire Pirlo.

Atletico Madrid are said to be one of the clubs strongly interested in recruiting the Serie A MVP of 2019-20 season this summer.

Frank de Boer sees Depay as a good fit for Juve

The Netherlands national team manager Frank de Boer has given his support to Lyon forward Memphis Depay to shine at Juve.

The Old Lady are said to be one of the clubs alongside Barcelona and PSG interested in signing the 26-year-old, whose contract expires this summer.

Amid the speculations, Dutch manager De Boer has backed his compatriot to do well at Juve.

De Boer said: “No, I know Memphis well, and I know that he has a top mentality.

“He will not be distracted by the rumours.

“He’s a great centre-forward and is the captain of Lyon.

“I see him do well at any top club, like Juventus, Barcelona, Inter… He will decide, then we will follow him in the team he picks.”

Dortmund reject goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny

Borussia Dortmund have decided not to pursue Juve goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

The Bianconeri No.1 is one of the players linked with an exit this summer.

While Dortmund’s interest has been circulating in recent time, the German clubs have now decided to end the pursuit due to the Polish shot-stopper’s age – he is 31 now – and his higher salary demands.
