Anthony Martial has been reportedly placed on the transfer exchange by the Red Devils.

Manchester United are reportedly willing to sell Anthony Martial this summer as they look to generate the money spent on new signing Jadon Sancho.

Martial was the Red Devils’ top scorer in the 19/20 season but failed to generate similar numbers the following season due to injury problems.

The lack of consistency saw the French striker go down the pecking order of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and the situation could get worse following the signing of Sancho from Dortmund.

United broke the banks for the English winger, and he is expected to be a starter for the next season alongside the likes of Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani and Mason Greenwood.

Now with the Red Devils ready to show the exit doors to the 25-year-old, Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in recruiting him.

Spurs are making moves in the transfer window as they look to compete for the top-four spot next season under new manager Nuno Santo.

However, United have affixed a price tag worth £50 million on Martial – as a means to generate more cash for the money they spent on Sancho – and it could prove to be a stumbling block for Spurs. Furthermore, his £250,000 wage demands seem far-fetched for the North Londoners as it would make him one of their top earners.

It remains to be seen whether Martial would leave Old Trafford this summer or stay and fight for his place in the starting line-up. The odds are currently stacked against him.
