Liverpool Transfer: Ezri Konsa setback, Pau Torres links, Salah conundrum, no chance to sign Aguero

Mohamed Salah-Liverpool

Ezri Konsa signs new contract

It’s the end of the road for Liverpool in Ezri Konsa’s pursuit as he has signed a new five-year contract with Aston Villa.

Pau Torres contact

Liverpool have reportedly made contact with Villarreal defender Pau Torres over a potential summer move.

The Reds have been linked with a plethora of defenders in the upcoming transfer window as the defence remains an area of concern for Jurgen Klopp.

Torres, 24, has grown in stature over the last few seasons, impressing both the Yellow Submarine and Spain national team.

The Spaniard has also been linked with fellow Premier League rivals Manchester United whilst Real Madrid are said to be keen on signing him.

Salah conundrum

Liverpool are fretting over Mohamed Salah’s rumoured exit talks, with his current deal expiring in two years.

Salah had recently provoked everyone with his answers when asked about his future, stating that he would look for a new challenge elsewhere. Real Madrid are looking like the potential suitors for the 28-year-old.

However, the Reds are happy that Salah hasn’t expressed his desire.

Liverpool not in the contention for Aguero

The Merseyside outfit is reportedly not in the race to sign Manchester City striker Aguero, who will leave Etihad this summer.

City’s rivals Manchester United are also not in contention to add the Argentine striker on a free transfer.

Meanwhile, Chelsea, Barcelona and PSG have been keeping tabs on Aguero.
