Real Madrid are looking for a new manager after Zidane announced his departure.

Zinedine Zidane made a shocking announcement on Thursday that he will step down as Real Madrid manager.

Los Blancos are currently in search of a new manager who can replace the French man from next season.

According to reports, Antonio Conte is looking like the favourite for the job, with the Italian manager recently announced his departure from Inter.

Conte led Inter to the Serie A title in the recently concluded season – breaking the hegemony of Juventus – however, he soon severed ties with the San Siro outfit.

The Italian manager found the club’s plans, which is to reduce the wages and generate more funds through player sales, completely unacceptable as he felt it is necessary to spend big in the transfer window.

It has also been added that Los Blancos have sorted out Mauricio Pochettino and Castilla coach Raul as alternatives for the vacant managerial position.

Pochettino’s exit links from PSG emerged out of nowhere as he had completed only his first year in charge at the French capital.

Tottenham are reportedly interested in the return of Pochettino as they are also in the market for a new manager.

Madrid had previously shortlisted Max Allegri as one of the ideal candidates, but he is understood to be closing in on a return to Juventus.

Now, Allegri’s compatriot Conte is one of the contenders for the manager role at the Spanish capital club.

The former Chelsea boss is one the best managers in Europe, and he can certainly help Los Blancos break their trophy drought.

However, his record in the Champions League could be a concern as Inter failed to get past the group stage in the last two seasons.
