Arsenal and Chelsea are keen on the German full back Kaan Kurt.
The highly rated defender has a contract with Borussia Moenchengladbach until the summer of 2022 and he could be available this summer.
Kurt is nowhere near the first team at Gladbach and the German outfit could consider cashing in on him for the right price.
It will be interesting to see if Arsenal and Chelsea submit an offer for the player in the coming weeks.
Both clubs have done well to nurture young players recently and Kurt could be tempted to join them.
Frank Lampard has a solid young core at his disposal and Kurt would be another quality addition. He could be a backup for the likes of Alonso and Palmieri for now.
Apparently, the player is valued at around £4m. If that’s the case, Arsenal and Chelsea can both afford him.
If they manage to develop him properly, Kurt could save millions for them in future.
It is hard to pull off big money signings this summer due to the financial impact of Covid-19 and therefore the plan to sign future stars for a reasonable fee is a wise one.
It will be interesting to see where Kurt ends up this summer. Both Chelsea and Arsenal are top class clubs with world class facilities and coaching.
They could help him to achieve his potential and give him the platform to succeed.
From a financial standpoint, they could pay him better than Gladbach as well.
