Marseille players are apparently starting to turn on the former Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi because of his attitude.

According to a report from L’Equipe (via Metro), the 22-year-old midfielder criticised his teammate after the defeat against Lens and the likes of Dimitri Payet had to intervene to calm the situation.

Apparently, Guendouzi asked his teammate Gerson when he was going to start running and the comment did not go down well in the dressing room.

It appears that Gerson Is not the only Marseille player who has been criticised by Guendouzi and many players in the squad are finding it difficult to deal with the youngster’s attitude.

The report further states that the player’s antics during training sessions have not gone down well with his teammates either.

Apparently, the midfielder is overly critical of his teammates during training and he has often been seen overreacting to little mistakes from the players.

Guendouzi had similar problems at Arsenal and he fell out with Miguel Arteta because of his antics.

The 22-year-old is undoubtedly a prodigious talent but he needs to sort out his behaviour if he wants to succeed at the top level.

The Frenchman made an impressive start to life at Marseille and it will be interesting to see how his behaviour affects his situation at the French club now.

The club hierarchy will not risk losing the dressing room harmony for a troublemaker and Guendouzi will have to sort things around if he wants a future at the Ligue 1 club.
