Manchester United are set to complete the signing of Moussa Dembele from Lyon. The Frenchman has been exceptional for the Ligue 1 outfit since joining them from Celtic.
As per reports, the Old Trafford giants have total agreement to sign the forward and he will cost around £61.8m.
Apparently, Chelsea wanted to sign him as well but they have been beaten in the chase.
The Red Devils needed to bring in a quality striker to partner Rashford in attack and Dembele should prove to be a quality signing.
The Lyon ace is a world-class talent and he could be a star for Solskjaer next season.
The 23-year-old has played in England with Fulham before and he should be able to adapt to the Premier League with ease.
Furthermore, his style of play suits English football as well. Apart from being a goalscorer, Dembele is very good with his dribbling and off-the-ball movement as well.
He will add a new dimension to Manchester United’s attack next season.
With Rashford, Dembele and Martial at his disposal, Solskjaer can certainly hope to push for the title next year.
The Red Devils have already improved a lot since Bruno Fernandes’ arrival. The Portuguese international has proven to be an elite creator already and he will be able bring out the best in players like Dembele.
Lyon rate the Frenchman highly and they aren’t too keen on selling him this summer but the Covid-19 pandemic has hurt them financially.
The Ligue 1 outfit have missed out on a lot of money because of the cancellation of the league. They will be forced to balance the books by selling players.
