Barcelona are hoping to finalise the signing of Manchester City defender Eric Garcia this summer.
Apparently, the Spanish club held a meeting with the agent of the defender on Wednesday, and the player is keen on a return to Camp Nou.
It will be interesting to see if the two parties can sort out the contractual details in the coming weeks.
Apparently, the Spanish club verbally agreed on a contract with the defender earlier in the season, but they have now offered him reduced wages. It remains to be seen whether the change in terms puts the deal in jeopardy.
Garcia will be a free agent at the end of this season, and he could prove to be a superb long term addition to the Barcelona back four.

Garcia is not the only defender Barcelona are hoping to sign this summer, and they are looking to sign a left-footed defender as well.
It appears that AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli is a target for the Spanish club, and Barcelona are already dealing with his agent Mino Raiola for Erling Haaland.
The Italian defender will have 12 months left on his contract this summer, and it will be interesting to see if Barcelona can sign him for a knockdown price in the summer.
Romagnoli is highly rated in Italy, and he has a massive future ahead of him. He could form a quality partnership with Garcia at the heart of Barcelona’s defence next season.
