Carnevali said the club is open to selling the sought-after midfielder if a right-after arrives. He also added that Juve attempted to sign Locatelli last summer.

“It’s true that Juventus made their move for Locatelli last summer, but only foreign clubs have shown a concrete interest in him of late.

“We are just at the beginning, but their intentions seem to be serious. We are open to everything; we’ll try to make Locatelli happy even if we need to sell nobody. In case we would prefer not to include any other player in the deal.

“We’ll evaluate the right offer with the player.”

The Old Lady are said to be keen on recruiting Locatelli, with new manager Max Allegri turning out to be a huge fan of the midfielder. Premier League champions Man City are keeping tabs on the Azzurri international meanwhile Carlo Ancelotti, who recently became the manager of Real Madrid, is desperate for Locatelli’s acquisition.

The 23-year-old endured a lacklustre spell at AC Milan before he completed his move to Sassuolo. Ever since then, it has been uphill for Locatelli, and now he is expected to play a key role for Italy national team in Euro 2020.
