Bayern 4-0 Stuttgart: Ten-man Bayern hammer Stuttgart, Lewandowski nets a stunning hat-trick

Robert Lewandowski-Bayern Munich

Hansi Flick’s men showed Stuttgart no mercy despite Davies’ early red card.

Bayern Munich produced a thumping 4-0 win against Stuttgart despite playing with ten men on the field for the longer duration of the game.

Robert Lewandowski, unsurprisingly, stole the spotlight with a hat-trick as his dream run in Bundesliga continued.

The Bavarians were coming off a win against Lazio in the Champions League, which saw them advance to the quarter-finals, yet the Bundesliga leaders were aware of the fact that Leipzig are trailing only by four points at second place.

However, Bayern were presented with an early obstacle after Alphonso Davies was shown a straight red card, forcing them to play with ten men.

But the Bavarians never really looked as if they were a man down after netting four goals inside the first half which included a stunning hat-trick from Robert Lewandowski while German winger Serge Gnabry also found the scoresheet.

The second half saw none of the sides found the nets as Bayern sealed another important three points.

Lewandowski is enjoying his best season with Bayern yet and after tonight’s hat-trick, his goal tally in Bundesliga has reached 35 this season.

Furthermore, it is safe to say he is leading the race for the European Golden boot as no players across Europe’s top five leagues are even close to matching the Polish man’s goalscoring form.

Bayern will face Leipzig in an exciting league encounter in their next game.
