Bayern Munich have been dealt a massive injury blow with star striker Robert Lewandowski sidelined for four weeks after straining the ligaments in his right knee.
The 32-year-old picked up the injury during Poland’s 3-0 win over Andorra. Lewandowski managed to score a brace in the game but he had to be taken off in the second half after a knock.
The striker then returned to Munich for a diagnosis from the club doctors who believe that the strain will keep him out for the next few weeks.

The striker is now set to miss the crunch Bundesliga clash against RB Leipzig at the weekend and he will also miss the vital quarter-final games against Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League.
His absence will come as a huge boost to the French outfit who will now certainly fancy their chances of making it to the semi-finals of the competition.
Lewandowski is undoubtedly the best striker on the planet right now and he will be crucial to Bayern Munich’s hopes of winning silverware this season. The 32-year-old has 42 goals and 8 assists to his name so far this season.
Personally, he is currently chasing Gerd Muller record of 40 goals in a single Bundesliga season, with 8 matches to go, Lewandowski (35 Bundesliga goals) was all set to break the record before International break. More significantly, he was front-runner in Baton d’Or for the current season, ahead of Messi and Ronaldo.
