Bayern Munich and Dortmund are interested in Dusan Vlahovic
Bayern Munich and their rivals Borussia Dortmund have joined the transfer race for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, reports SkySport.de via Bavarian Football Works.
The young Serbian is one of the in-demand players due to his stellar form in Serie A.
Vlahovic racked up 21 goals and 3 assists in the Italian top flight last season and he has carried his form to this season as well, finding the nets 6 times for La Viola across all competitions so far.
He has reportedly rejected a contract offer from La Viola and could be soon on the market, at least next summer.
While a host of Premier League clubs alongside Juventus are understood to be keeping tabs on Vlahovic’s situation, German duo Bayern and Dortmund are the latest to show interest.
Bayern are seeking a long-term successor for Robert Lewandowski, whose contract expires in 2023 and he is yet to agree on an extension. The Polish striker has been linked with European giants like Real Madrid, Man City and Chelsea.
Elsewhere, Dortmund may well lose goal machine Erling Haaland next summer when his 64m pounds release clause becomes active. There is no shortage of suitors for the Norwegian sensation, with clubs like Barcelona, Madrid, Man Utd, Man City keeping tabs on him.
Bayern in pole position to sign Firmino
Bayern have surprisingly identified Liverpool’s Roberto Firimino as a potential target.
According to Calciomercato Milan, the Bundesliga champions are ahead of AC Milan in the transfer race for the Brazilian centre-forward.
The report also adds that Firmino could part ways with the Reds next summer, although he has a contract running until 2023.
The 30-year-old spent four years at Hoffenheim before moving to Liverpool in 2015.
