Borussia Dortmund agree to sign Sebastien Haller as a replacement for Erling Haaland. They have finalised the deal with Ajax for the Ivory Coast international with €35 million as a transfer fee.
Haaland moved to Manchester City this summer. Therefore, Dortmund seek a similar attacking option to strengthen their team for the next season, and Haller could be the best fit for BVB.
Dortmund have already set up a medical for Haller to take place in Germany. They also expect to complete the final paperwork for the forward.
Haller impressed Dortmund by being one of Ajax’s best players during the last season, especially in the UEFA Champions League. He scored 11 goals in just eight games and ended the competition as the third-highest scorer.
The 28-year-old striker is Dortmund’s Sixth Major Signing of the Summer. The club had a very busy summer transfer window after the club sacked manager Marco Rose and moved to ex-caretaker manager Edin Terzic. The paper works of signing are overflowing for the Bundesliga side.
According to the Report, Defenders Niklas Sule, Nico Schlotterbeck, and young player Jayden Braaf signed for Dortmund as free agents this summer.
