Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain has agreed to join the MLS side Inter Miami this summer.

The player was linked with a move to Newcastle and West Ham as well but it seems that the Argentine has snubbed the chance to return to the Premier League.

Higuain had a forgettable spell in the Premier League with Chelsea and it is understandable why he does not want to return to English football once again.

The highly experienced striker should prove to be a quality addition to Inter Miami.

The intensity of American football should suit Gonzalo Higuain at this stage of his career and his decision should prove to be a wise one.

It will be interesting to see how the  Argentine striker performs in the United States now.

He has been a success at most of his clubs and Inter Miami could use his experience and quality next season.

Higuain is past his peak right now and he is no longer ready to perform for the top European clubs. A club of Juventus’ stature needs better players at their disposal and it is the right time for Higuain to leave Europe.

The Argentine has played for some of the biggest clubs in the world – Juventus, Real Madrid, Napoli, AC Milan and Chelsea. It remains to be seen if he can win some silverware in the MLS now.

The player was a target for another MLS side – New York City. However, Higuain has now agreed to terms with David Beckham’s team.
