Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg will look to record just their third of the league season when they welcome Monchengladbach this Saturday.

Niko Kovac has not had the best of starts to his managerial stint in the dugout at the Volkswagen Arena. His side have picked up four defeats, three draws and two wins from their nine games so far this season.

Die Wölfe now sit in 13th place in the Bundesliga table with nine points, three points above the relegation zones.

However, Wolfsburg come into this game off the back of a 1-1 draw away to Augsburg last weekend, their third game in a row without defeat.

With mounting pressure on his shoulders, head coach Niko Kovac will hope that his side can continue on the upward trajectory and secure a good result against Die Fohlen when they visit the Volkswagen Arena.

Possible Wolfsburg starting line-up

Koen Casteels; Ridle Baku, Maxence Lacroix, Micky van de Ven, Paulo Otavio; Patrick Wimmer, Felix Nmecha, Maximilian Arnold, Yannick Gerhardt, Jakub Kaminski; Omar Marmoush.

Injured: Jonas Wind, Yannick, Max Kruse, Bartol Franjic, Mattias Svanberg, Jerome Roussillon

Doubtful: Kilian Fischer

Suspended: None

Borussia Monchengladbach

Borussia Monchengladbach come into this game off the back of a 5-2 win over Cologne last week. Goals from Marvin Friedrich, Lars Stindl, Marcus Lillian-Thuram and a brace from Ramy Bensebaini ensured that Cologne’s two goals only counted as consolation, as Die Fohlen ran away with all three points.

With just one point separating them from fourth-placed Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Monchengladbach find themselves presented with a chance to break into the top four, and head coach Daniel Farke will be keen to see his side pick up yet another win over Wolfsburg when they visit the Volkswagen Arena.

With Niko Kovac’s side struggling this season, Die Fohlen will fancy their chances of getting a good result, possibly a win.

Borussia Monchengladbach have had the upper hand in this fixture in recent times, and are yet to taste defeat to Wolfsburg in their last five meetings. With two wins and three draws, Daniel Farke’s boys will be expected to start off on a strong foot and control the game at the Volkswagen Arena.

Possible Monchengladbach starting line-up

Yann Sommer; Joe Scally, Marvin Friedrich, Nico Elvedi, Rami Bensebaini; Julian Weigl, Oscar Fraulo, Nathan N’Goumou; Marcus Thuram, Lars Stindl, Jonas Hofmann.

Injured: Manu Kone, Ko Itakua, Florian Neuhaus, Alassane Plea, Christopher Kramer, Hannes Wolf, Torben Musel

Doubtful: None
