Trippier has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United.

Atletico Madrid is working on the potential replacements for Kieran Trippier, who has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United. The La Liga champions have reportedly identified Norwich City full-back Max Aarons top target.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems to be pushing for the transfer of Trippier, who was impressive for the England national team in Euros. The 30-year-old was also part of Diego Simeone’s side that lifted the La Liga crown last season.

Meanwhile, Atletico appear to be preparing for life without the former Tottenham star and have made another English youngster Aarons a top target.

The 21-year-old was linked with a move to European giants like Barcelona and Bayern Munich. He remains a player in demand following an excellent season with the Canaries, who earned a promotion to the Premier League.

Atletico’s interest in Aarons comes as a blow for Premier League club  Arsenal, who are also said to be keen on the young full-back.

The Gunners are planning for a significant overhaul this summer, and Aarons is on the wishlist of manager Mikel Arteta.

The Spanish manager wants a quality full-back as Hector Bellerin has been linked with an exit from the Emirates Stadium, with Serie A champions Inter Milan showing great interest.

Atletico will look to continue their dominance in the Spanish top-flight next season and make their presence felt in the Champions League.

Trippier was influential in last season’s title run; however, he now looks interested in returning to his homeland.

Los Rojiblancos are said to be demanding a lot from the Red Devils. The latter could struggle to find the valuation of Trippier as they have spent much on the signing of Jadon Sancho while Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane is expected to be the next in the line.
