Barcelona picked up a 4-0 win over Osasuna in the Spanish League earlier today.
Martin Braithwaite gave the Spanish giants the lead on the 29th minute and Antoine Griezmann doubled their advantage on the 42nd minute.
Barcelona were thoroughly dominant from start to finish and Ronald Koeman will be pleased with his team’s performance today.
The Spanish side came into the game as farm favourites and they managed to sweep aside the visitors with ease.
Philippe Coutinho scored the third goal for Barcelona in the second half and Lionel Messi wrapped up the scoring on the 73rd minute.
The win takes Barcelona up to 7th in the League table with 14 points from nine matches. They are still nine points adrift of League leaders Real Sociedad.
Meanwhile, Osasuna dropped down to 15th in the League table and they have 11 points from 10 matches.
The away side have now lost three of their last four league matches and they will have to find a way to bounce back quickly if they want to survive relegation this season.
As for Barcelona, they will have to improve and build some sort of consistency if they want to challenge for the Spanish League title this season.
The Spanish outfit missed out on the title to Real Madrid last season and they cannot to afford to go another year without a league title. A club of their stature will be expected to bounce back strongly this season. It will be interesting to see if Koeman can get his side firing on all cylinders in the coming months.
