The Catalans are planning for a squad clearout ahead of next season.

Barcelona are reportedly set to flog as many as 12 players ahead of next season, with Ronald Koeman continuing his rebuild process.

The list includes first-team players Luis Suarez, Martin Braithwaite, Samuel Umititi, while the future of several other players remains uncertain.

Suarez has been heavily linked with an exit from the Nou Camp after knowing that he will not be in the plans of Koeman. Juventus remain a top destination for the Uruguayan while Atletico Madrid have shown interest lately.

Meanwhile, Barca is ready to get rid of Umititi, whose fall from grace has been evident over the past few seasons. Umititi has been reportedly inserted in the deal to sign Lyon forward Memphis Depay.

The Catalan club is understood to be willing to bring three more new faces ahead of the next season but is aware of financial needs, which could be generated only by selling players.

Besides Depay, Eric Garcia and Georginio Wijnaldum are the handpicked targets of Koeman, who is perhaps keen on signing the latter one. Wijnaldum’s Liverpool contract is due to expire next year, and he is yet to pen a new deal.

Meanwhile, Garcia, who has opted not to sign a contract with Manchester City, would be available for around 15 million euros.

Koeman is happy about the fact that Lionel Messi has withdrawn his interest from leaving and decided to continue with the Blaugrana
