Barcelona have identified Juventus forward as the replacement for Lionel Messi.

Barcelona have sorted out Juventus ace Paulo Dybala as an ideal replacement for Lionel Messi.

According to reports, the Catalan club see Dybala as the heir to the throne of his compatriot Messi, who is said to be considering his future at his boyhood club.

Similarly, Dybala has been left frustrated after Juve reportedly placed him on the transfer exchange despite being their top performer last season. The 27-year-old won the Serie A’s MVP award, ousting the likes of his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

Furthermore, Dybala wants a high-end contract to continue his services with Juventus as he is currently fourth in the list of the club’s highest earners.

It has been previously reported that Messi had lost faith in the current Barca hierarchy with Josep Maria Bartomeu at the helm.

The 33-year-old also looks to have become frustrated after the details had leaked from his rendezvous with new manager Ronald Koeman. Messi has reportedly told the Dutch gaffer that he is mulling over the future at the Nou Camp.

The Argentine skipper has now gone five seasons without winning the UCL trophy, while also losing the dominance in La Liga last term.

Messi’s contract will expire at the end of the next season and he is said to be watched by Manchester City, PSG and Inter Milan.

Meanwhile, Barca could face competition from their arch-rivals Real Madrid, who are also interested in signing Dybala.

It will be interesting to how Messi’s transfer saga would end and whether Barca can sign a player like Dybala.
