Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to sign a one-year deal with AC Milan

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has tested positive for Coronavirus.

The 38-year-old is arguably the best player at Milan and it will be interesting to see how the Italian side cope without him.

Milan are due to take on Norwegian side FK Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League third qualifying round on Thursday.

The Swedish striker is set to self-isolate now. He has scored twice for Milan this season and he will be crucial to their ambitions this year.

Zlatan returned to the Italian club on a short term deal last season and he was outstanding for them. His performances forced Milan to extend his stay at the club and the striker will be hoping to guide Milan back to the Champions league now.

The Italian giants have not been at their best for a while now and they need to get back amongst the European elite soon.

Zlatan mentioned last season that Milan could have challenged for the title had he been at the club since the start and it will be interesting to see if he can deliver on his words now.

After the confirmation from the club, Ibrahimovic tweeted: “I tested negative to Covid yesterday and positive today. No symptoms what so ever. Covid had the courage to challenge me. Bad idea.”
