Barcelona president Joan Laporta has confirmed that the La Liga club have finalised deals to sign free agents Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie.

Both players were available on free transfers after running down their contracts expired at Chelsea and AC Milan this summer, and the Catalan side have now confirmed both players will be unveiled soon as Barca players.

Speaking recently in an interview via 90min, Laporta said:

“We will present Kessié on Wednesday and Christensen on Thursday.

The Barca chief also gave an update on the potential arrival of Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich, admitting that the club are ‘flattered’ that the Polish superstar is keen to join them.

“Lewandowski is a Bayern player and I prefer to keep reserved on this matter,” Laporta said.

“I have respect for Bayern and I would not talk about another club’s player. We thank him for wanting to come to Barça, and we are very flattered.”
