Dortmund give up Hakimi, expected to have medical for Inter soon

Inter Milan are all set to sign Achraf Hakimi from Real Madrid this summer.

The Serie A giants are currently in advanced talks to finalise the move and they will pay the Spanish giants a sum of around £36m.

Hakimi was on loan at Borussia Dortmund during the past two seasons and managed to impress a lot.

He picked up 5 goals and 10 assists for the German giants and he was expected to return to Real Madrid for the next season.

However, Los Blancos have decided to cash in on the player now.

Hakimi is a world class talent and Real Madrid might end up regretting this move.

Inter Milan are set to gain a top class prospect and Hakimi could be a star for the Italian side.

The club’s CEO Giuseppe Marotta has himself confirmed that the player is in talks to join this summer and he wishes to wrap up the deal soon.

He said: “The will of [owners] the Zhang family is to continue buying important players. I confirm that we are in an advanced negotiation for Hakimi. [Inter sporting director Piero] Ausilio has been very good, but we must now conclude the negotiation. Tomorrow will be an important day, I am optimistic. It is a job done from Ausilio in these two months. This is an operation that, with the times that are going, is really very, very important.”

Premier League giant Manchester United wanted to sign the player as well but Hakimi has turned down the move.

It would have been a surprising move especially because United have recently signed a talented young right back in Wan Bissaka. Furthermore, they have a talented player like Dalot for the same position as well.
