Azpilicueta agrees Barcelona move

Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge at the end of this season, and it appears that the player is set to join Barcelona this summer.

According to a report from Spanish publication Sport, the Spanish international will be out of contract in June, and he has already secured an agreement in principle with Barcelona.

The 32-year-old has been a key player for Chelsea since joining the club, and he could prove to be a quality short term acquisition for the Spanish club.

It is no secret that Barcelona need to improve their defensive options, and Azpilicueta would not only improve them on the pitch, but his leadership qualities could be useful in the dressing room as well.

Barcelona keen on Fekir

Meanwhile, Barcelona are keeping tabs on the Real Betis midfielder Nabil Fekir as well.

The World Cup winner has done an impressive job with the Spanish club, and Barcelona could certainly use a quality playmaker like him.

Apparently, club president Joan Laporta is a big fan of the French international midfielder, and Barcelona could be prepared to pay up to €60 million to sign the player in the summer.

Apparently, Real Betis are demanding a fee of around €80 million, and it remains to be seen whether the two clubs can reach a compromise in the coming months.

Denayer on Barcelona’s radar

The Spanish giants are looking to improve their defensive options this summer as well, and they are keen on signing the 26-year-old Lyon defender Jason Denayer.

The former Celtic defender has been linked with Juventus, Napoli and Newcastle United as well, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
