The Brazilian full-back is without a club after terminating his contract with Sao Paulo last month.

Former Barcelona full-back Dani Alves has revealed his desire to return to the Nou Camp.

The 38-year-old is currently without a club after terminating his contract at Sao Paulo last month due to wage disputes.

Now, the Brazilian superstar has said that he is ready for one more spell at the La Liga club, where he became one of the best players in his position.

Alves said (according to Goal): “It would sound very opportunistic to say that Barca need me now. I always said that I left because I saw things were not the way I thought they should be.

“You never want to see everything that [has] ended up happening since I left. I’ve said that when Barca need me and want me, I would be at their disposal regardless of where I am. The affection, love and respect I have for this club is too much.

“If Barca think they need me, they just have to call me. I still think I can contribute anywhere, but more at Barca because of the number of young players that they have now.”

Alves has been defying his age after recently leading La Selecao to the Olympics gold medal and Copa America triumph in 2019.

Alves left the Camp Nou in 2016 after spending around a decade during which he won a surplus of titles.

The Brazilian defender went on to represent Juventus and Paris-Saint Germain before moving to Sao Paulo in 2019.
