Rayo Vellecano

Rayo Vallecano will look to close their 2021/22 La Liga season on a winning note when they face Levante on Friday.

The hosts have enjoyed a successful first season back in the top flight after recording 42 points, having won eleven of their opening 37 fixtures (nine draws and 17 losses).

They currently sit in twelfth position, six points ahead of the red zone. And so, they come into this tie with little to play for, save ending a two-game losing run which has seen them concede seven goals.

Guaranteed a bottom-half finish regardless of the result here, Andoni Iraola’s men will at least look to give the home fans a good send-off after what has been a solid home league campaign (W8, D5, L5).

Although they are winless in their last eight home games, they will be inspired by four straight home H2H wins against their visitors.

Possible Rayo Vallecano starting line-up

Luca Zidane; Ivan Balliu, Nikola Maras, Alejandro Catena, Fran Garcia; Oscar Valentin, Pathe Ciss; Alvaro Garcia, Unai Lopez, Mario Hernandez; Radamel Falcao.

Injured: Isi Palazon, Martin Merquelanz

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None

Levante

Levante’s fight for La Liga survival came to an end two weeks ago as they were trumped 6-0 away from home by Real Madrid.

The visitors have been in the relegation fight all season but looked like they were going to put up a great escape after getting back on form in 2022. But the poor start to the season ultimately caught up with them at the Santiago Bernabeu two rounds ago, mathematically confirming their relegation to the lower division.

They will now look to at least end the season on a high and win two La Liga games in a row for the first time since July 2020, following a 3-1 win over Alaves last time.

Possible Levante starting line-up

Dani Cardenas; Jorge Miramon, Pier Rober, Sergio Postigo, Marcelo Saracchi; Alejandro Cantero, Mickael Malsa, Jose Campana, Enis Bardhi; Luis Morales, Roger.

Injured: Carlos Clerc, Jorge de Frutos

Doubtful: Shkodran Mustafi

Suspended: Roberto Soldado, Francisco Son, Oscar Duarte
