Sevilla 1-0 Huesca: Munir’s goal earns Sevilla’s fifth straight league win

Munir El-Haddadi-Sevilla

Sevilla picked up a narrow 1-0 win over Huesca in the Spanish League earlier tonight.

Munir El-Haddadi scored the only goal of the game for Sevilla on the 57th minute to secure all three points for the home side.

Sevilla are third in the Spanish League table, just one point behind the reigning champions Real Madrid and nine points behind league leaders Atletico Madrid.

The Andalusian side were in impressive form heading into this game and they have now picked up their ninth consecutive victory in all competitions.

Sevilla will be delighted to have picked up all three points here and goalkeeper Bono was arguably the best player on the pitch for the home side and he helped them secure  the win.

He produced several outstanding saves to deny Huesca especially late in the game.

The likes of Rafa Mir were denied from point-blank range in the 89th minute and Sergio Gomez was denied on the rebound as well.

Sevilla have now picked up 5 straight League wins and they will be hoping to close in on Atletico Madrid in the coming weeks.

It will be interesting to see if they can mount a proper title challenge during the second half of the season.

Meanwhile Huesca are at the bottom of the table with just 16 points from 23 matches and they will have to improve a lot if they want to beat the drop this season.
