Sevilla

Sevilla’s chances of finishing in the top three remain in their hands despite a late 1-1 draw with Villarreal last time out.

The hosts currently sit in third, one point ahead of fourth-placed Atletico Madrid with three games to play.

They could yet finish outside of the top four, given that they are seven points ahead of Real Betis. So this match presents an opportunity for them to seal their place in the top four and also put some pressure on second-placed Barcelona who are four points ahead.

However, after managing only two shots on target all game against Villarreal, they will have to improve on their finishing to take maximum points from this game. Also, their supporters will expect a win given they’ve won the last three home league H2Hs and the only team that’s beaten them in the league here this term is Real Madrid (W11, D5).

Possible Sevilla starting line-up

Yassine Bounou; Gonzalo Montiel, Diego Carlos, Jules Kounde, Marcos Acuna; Ivan Rakitić, Joan Jordan, Thomas Delaney; Dario Gomez, Jesus Corona, Youssef En-Nesyri.

Injured: Karim Rekik, Suso

Doubtful: Fernando, Anthony Martial

Suspended: None

Mallorca

Meanwhile, Mallorca will look to get their quest for survival back on track after losing their last two league games.

The visitors were hammered 6-2 by fellow relegation strugglers Granada, leaving them sitting in 18th place, two points behind Granada.

And so, they have three games remaining to either match Cadiz’s final points tally or better Granada’s point tally to survive. This is an achievable task, but considering that all three of those fixtures are against sides comfortably above them, the odds are stacked against them securing a second season in the top flight.

They have lost 75% of their away league matches entered as outsiders this term and have lost six of their seven La Liga road games against sides currently inside the top eight (W1), so the omens aren’t good for Javier Aguirre’s outfit.

Possible Mallorca starting line-up

Sergio Rico; Jaume Costa, Martin Valjent, Antonio Raillo, Pablo Maffeo; Salva Sevilla, Daniel Rodríguez, Iddrisu Baba; Takefusa Kubo, Angel Rodriguez, Vedat Muriqi.

Injured: Dominik Greif, Jaume Coast, Aleksander Sedlar

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None
