The Argentine manager has been left annoyed with Pogba’s speculated move to PSG.

Mauricio Pochettino cut a frustrated figure following PSG‘s defeat against Lille in the Trophees Des Champion final.

Although big names like Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Angel di Maria were absent for the game, Pochettino was not happy with the result ahead of the new season.

Following the game, the Argentine gaffer was questioned about Paul Pogba‘s transfer rumours, but he quickly played down them.

Pochettino said: “You see the list of players that we have at home.

“We have plenty of players. Half of the squad is at home. A few are on holidays.

“I think the performance was good. I am happy, and I don’t want to talk about the names of the players that are in other clubs.”

Pogba’s contract standoff with Manchester United has seen him getting heavily linked with a move to PSG in recent weeks.

The French World Cup winner has entered the final year of his contract, but there are no optimistic updates over his extension yet.

Les Parisiens have been allegedly keeping tabs on Pogba’s situation. The Ligue 1 side could go all out for him this summer even though they have enjoyed a productive transfer window so far – bringing in the likes of Georginio Wijnaldum, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Sergio Ramos, Achraf Hakimi.

Elsewhere, United have been linked with a handful of midfielders like Saul, Camavinga and Goretzka, which implies that they might be preparing for life without Pogba.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has recently stated that he is optimistic about Pogba’s new deal.
